Daniel Trust Foundation secures a cool partnership with a $7 billion brand that operates more than 1
The Daniel Trust Foundation is pleased to announce that we have secured a very cool partnership with Old Navy, one of the largest apparel brands in the world with more than 1,000 stores in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Japan through the brand's "ON the Job" program. The ON the Job program gives teens the opportunity to gain valuable professional skills through job training and a chance to secure their first job at Old Navy. Six (6) of our high school mentees and college scholars participated in the program at the Old Navy store in Trumbull Mall on Tuesday, July 18th and Wednesday, July 19th. Asked what they liked most about the experience our students said they loved the atmosphere and the people. Emperatriz Mendoza said: "The Old Navy employees that trained us were very nice and kind." Doubenz Fabius said: "By participating in the program, I improved my communication skills by learning how to properly welcome and greet customers." Both Emperatriz and Doubenz will be seniors at Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT this Fall and are students in the Daniel Trust Foundation High School Mentoring Program.
"A very big special thank you to all the Old Navy employees who volunteered their time to help train our students," said Daniel Trust, Founder and CEO of The Daniel Trust Foundation. "As Founder and CEO of a growing youth development nonprofit organization, one of my responsibilities is to identify and to create strategic partnerships with companies and brands that share the same values as our organization and are looking to make an impact in the communities in which they do business. I am so proud of this partnership with Old Navy. I look forward to maintaining and growing this business relationship."
