We have great news to share.... Please join us in congratulating Emperatriz Mendoza, Doubenz Fabius and Damaris Garcia for being hired by Old Navy as Brand Associates through the company's partnership with the Daniel Trust Foundation. Last month, six (6) of our students participated in Old Navy's "ON the job" program, a job training program that gives teens the opportunity to gain valuable professional skills and a chance to secure their first job at Old Navy. Upon completing the training, Emperatriz, Doubenz and Damaris submitted an application for the Brand Associate position. A few days later, they were invited to interview with the management team and on August 14th, they received "The Call" with the great news. "I am so proud of Emperatriz, Doubenz and Damaris for this great accomplishment," said Daniel Trust, Founder and CEO of The Daniel Trust Foundation. "When I receive awesome news like this, it reassures me that I am doing the right thing for the community. I am so happy for my children and I cannot wait to see them become superstar employees at Old Navy."
Doubenz Fabius and Emperatriz Mendoza will be seniors at Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT this Fall and are mentees in our high school mentoring program. Damaris Garcia will be a sophomore at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT this Fall and is a scholar in our college scholarship program. Old Navy is one of the largest apparel brands in the world with more than 1,000 stores in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Japan. The Daniel Trust Foundation would like to give a special "Thank You" to Gabriella Signore for giving our students this life changing opportunity.
