The Daniel Trust Foundation is searching for 2 experienced SAT Tutors to join our team in Bridgeport, CT & New York City

The Daniel Trust Foundation, an award-winning youth development nonprofit organization that invests in and supports low-income students with their educational and professional goals is searching for two (2) experienced SAT Tutors to provide SAT Writing, Critical Reading and Math instruction to a group of 20 high school juniors. The 1st SAT Tutor will instruct a group of 10 juniors in Bridgeport, CT and the 2nd SAT Tutor will instruct a group of 10 juniors in New York City. The two (2) SAT Tutors must be available to provide SAT instruction for fifteen (15) SAT Prep classes, which will be held once per week for 2 hours from January 2018 to April 2018.




  • Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs.

  • Ability to explain concepts and processes in different ways to ensure student understanding.

  • Facilitate diagnostic and practice SAT exams.

  • Partner with the Foundation team to ensure student needs are met.

  • Learn and retain knowledge related to all aspects of the SAT.

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to improve student test scores and communicate student progress.




  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 2 years of experience teaching and tutoring a group of diverse students.

  • Excellent presentation skills and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

  • A desire to help students learn and reach their full potential.

  • Have high energy level and ability to engage students.


Job Type: Contract

Salary: $16.00 to $20.00 /hour
