Daniel Trust and Stephen J. Perry at Daniel Trust Foundation's offices in Bridgeport, Connecticut
Daniel Trust Foundation, an award-winning youth development nonprofit organization with offices in Bridgeport, Connecticut and New York City, is pleased to announce that Stephen J. Perry, a Member of the Foundation’s Advisory Board and Director of Solutions 2442, is sponsoring a 4-year scholarship at The 5th Annual Daniel Trust Awards scheduled on June 7, 2018. The Daniel Trust Awards serves as Daniel Trust Foundation’s annual awards dinner, where seniors graduating from the Foundation’s High School Mentoring Program become Scholars in the College Scholarship Program, and local high school teachers get the opportunity to be honored and recognized by the Scholars.
Stephen J. Perry has been investing in and supporting the mission of Daniel Trust Foundation since 2015. About 3 years ago, the Leadership Team at Daniel Trust Foundation reached out to Elaine Mintz, Vice President of Operations at Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, to ask her if she had any recommendations on a professional who had the capacity to provide pro-bono advisory services to help the Foundation grow and expand its programs and services. Elaine advised Daniel Trust Foundation to reach out to Stephen and the rest is history. Since then, Stephen has donated his time, skills and money to help Daniel Trust Foundation continue impacting the lives of low-income students and their teachers. “I have never met someone that is as kind as Stephen J. Perry, said Daniel Trust, President and CEO of Daniel Trust Foundation. “He has been such a wonderful friend, mentor, advisor, and ambassador for my work. I want to sincerely thank him for believing, not only in me, but in our students and teachers. Stephen, you are amazing!”
