As Chief Executive at Daniel Trust Foundation, I am always searching for funding opportunities to support the talented young women and men who benefit from our High School Mentoring and College Scholarship programs.
While doing grant research last year, I discovered People’s United Community Foundation. After learning that the organization supports programs and services that address the need for educational improvement and advancement of low to moderate income children and youth, our team decided to submit a grant application to support our High School Mentoring Program.
It’s with great honor I share with members of the Daniel Trust Foundation community that the grant application was approved and People’s United Community Foundation has made a major investment in our mission.
“Congratulations! Your grant request has been approved. On behalf of People's United Community Foundation and its Board of Directors, I am pleased to inform you that Daniel Trust Foundation will be receiving a check in the amount of $2,500.00 for the following purpose: The Daniel Trust Foundation Mentoring Program,” said Karen Galbo, VP, Executive Director of People’s United Community Foundation. “We are happy to support the important work you are doing, and wish you continued success in your efforts.”
This grant will make a very big impact in the lives of the young women and men who are participating in our High School Mentoring Program in Bridgeport, CT and New York, NY. I want to sincerely thank Karen Galbo and Valerie Senew for this generous investment and for taking the time out of their busy schedule to come present us with the check at our Bridgeport office.
