Meet the 2019 Daniel Trust Scholars who were honored at The Daniel Trust Awards in Bridgeport, CT
We did it again! Last night, my team and I had the honor of hosting The Daniel Trust Awards in Bridgeport, CT for the 6th year in a row. I remember the first dinner I hosted in 2014 like it was yesterday. The awards dinner last night was special and a great success. Shy-Asia Baker says, "Receiving this scholarship means a lot to my family and I because it's like a burden has been lifted from us. The money will help cover the cost of my textbooks." Shy-Asia is attending the University of Bridgeport.
Ayanna Bloschichak says, "As you know, college is very expensive. This scholarship will provide me with major help like buying my college textbooks and everything that I need." Ayanna is attending College of the Holy Cross.
Tameem Chowdhury says, "Coming from an immigrant family, we don't have the most money. So, receiving this scholarship to pay for my textbooks, will help out tremendously." Tameem is attending the University of Bridgeport.
Tanjum Chowdhury says, "Receiving this scholarship will very much help me and my family since we come from a low-income background. The scholarship will help me pay for a laptop, textbooks, and everything else I would have had to share with my brother." Tanjum is attending the University of Connecticut.
Abigail Estrada says, "Receiving this scholarship means a lot to me because it's my way of helping my mom with our family's college expenses. My mom will now have less payments to make." Abigail is attending Fairfield University.
Jasmin Guevara says, "This scholarship will help me buy my college textbooks and supplies. Having the scholarship will ensure that I go through college without any problems." Jasmin is attending the University of New Haven.
Emily Nivelo says, "Receiving this scholarship means to me personally that I have almost a second family. I know I am always going to have someone to talk to about my education and life." Emily is attending Fairfield University.
Darlen Ramirez says, "Receiving this award means the world to me because I am not really used to receiving something big. I am happy to receive the scholarship for my family." Darlen is attending the University of New Haven.
Citlalli Tomas says, "Receiving this scholarship means to me and my family that we will have less financial burden. The scholarship is also a way to encourage me to keep doing what I am doing, which is to study and work hard." Citlalli is attending Temple University.
